F&S puts $4 million into infrastructure

Subspecialty radiology interpretation provider Franklin & Seidelmann Subspecialty Radiology (F&S) reported that it plans to invest $4 million into expanded headquarters space to fuel the company's growth.

In the past four years, the Cleveland-based practice said it has experienced more than a 50% compound annual growth rate in total study volume and number of clients.

In related news, the firm said it has signed Dr. Tommy Pope, professor of radiology and orthopedics at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, to its professional staff.

F&S has also expanded its executive management team. New members include Scott Seidelmann, president, formerly a partner at Ericsson Venture Partners, a communications and IT venture capital firm based in New York City, and co-founder of RIS Logic, a radiology software company, which was acquired by Merge Healthcare in 2003; Ethan Cohen, chief operating officer, formerly the chief technology officer of MedQuist; Jeff Davies, vice president of sales, formerly vice president of sales for Merge Healthcare; and Christine Boehm, vice president of marketing, formerly in senior marketing management positions with Agfa HealthCare and Merge Healthcare.
