The Medical Image Perception Lab is inviting radiologists to participate in several studies at RSNA 2019 on the perception and interpretation of radiological images.
Now in its fourth year, the Perception Lab plans to host as many as 20 distinct studies for radiologists of varying experience levels this year in Hall D of the Learning Center at the Chicago meeting. The primary focus of the studies is to draw data from radiologists' medical image perception to improve cancer detection and diagnosis, according to the organizers of the U.S. National Cancer Institute (NCI)-sponsored project. Most experiments at RSNA 2019 will take less than 30 minutes to complete.
The Perception Lab is led by Todd Horowitz, PhD, of the NCI and Jeremy Wolfe, PhD, of Harvard Medical School. Last year's Perception Lab at RSNA tested 485 radiologists in various eye-tracking experiments.
