TeraRecon names Sorenson as president

Advanced visualization firm TeraRecon has promoted Jeff Sorenson, senior vice president of sales and marketing, to the position of president.

A TeraRecon employee since 2004, Sorenson replaces CEO Venkatraman Lakshminarayan, who has left the company to pursue other interests. Lakshminarayan had been chief financial officer since 2005 and CEO since 2014.

In new customer news, TeraRecon received three large enterprise orders for its iNtuition advanced visualization software in early August, according to the vendor. In addition, TeraRecon said it has seen a marked increase in iNteract+ projects as well as iNtuition software maintenance renewals.
