Fuji gets CR install at NY Mets stadium

A New York distributor has installed a computed radiography (CR) system by Fujifilm Medical Systems USA of Stamford, CT, at Citi Field, the stadium for the New York Mets.

New York Imaging Service of Newburgh, NY, has installed an XC-2 CR system and FCRView image management workstation, along with a radiography system from Del Medical of Franklin Park, IL.

The CR equipment will provide medical staff with customized anatomical menus to address the unique imaging needs of Major League Baseball players, while the FCRView eliminates the need to print x-ray films so players can be diagnosed more quickly.

In other Fuji news, the company has made progress in its effort to "virtualize" its software. Fuji has formalized its five-year relationship with VMware of Palo Alto, CA, and is now an official Technology Alliance Partner program member.

Fuji has also installed, configured, and tested its Synapse products at VMware headquarters, and has developed in-house virtualization expertise with VMware certified professional and certified design expert designations achieved by numerous Fuji staff.
