Siemens ships new ultrasound software

Siemens Healthcare of Malvern, PA, has begun shipping a new release of its syngo US Workplace ultrasound software.

Release 3.5 of the software is designed for applications in cardiology, general imaging, ob/gyn, and vascular screening, including the syngo Arterial Health Package for semiautomated carotid intima-media thickness measurements.

The software supports instant and open access to DICOM-compliant images produced by ultrasound scanners from Siemens and other vendors.
