Neoprobe hits Lymphoseek clinical milestone

Gamma camera probe developer Neoprobe of Dublin, OH, has reached a clinical milestone in a multicenter phase III study of its Lymphoseek radiotracer, the company reported.

The study, which has been conducted with patients with either breast cancer or melanoma, has accrued patients with 203 lymph nodes. Lymphoseek is being developed for use in connection with gamma detection devices for intraoperative lymphatic mapping procedures.

Neoprobe expects to release full data on the study in the second quarter of this year.
