Echoserve moves into mammography market

Ultrasound repair firm Echoserve said that it has expanded its operations into mammography services.

The Golden, CO-based firm said it has invested in an initial parts inventory and test beds for several mammography platforms. The company now provides depot part repair/exchange, field service, and refurbished equipment for major mammography systems from GE Healthcare, Hologic (Lorad), and Fischer Imaging.

In related news, the firm said it has hired Paul Proffit to lead its mammography business unit.
