Toshiba releases Precision Imaging

Toshiba America Medical Systems has introduced its Precision Imaging software on the Aplio XG ultrasound system.

As a multiresolution signal processing technology, Precision Imaging is designed to evaluate images line-by-line and includes information from adjacent lines to enhance the amount of information obtained, according to the Tustin, CA-based vendor.

Used for head-to-toe scanning, Precision Imaging can show subtle tissue differences and image small structures, Toshiba said. It also displays contrast boundaries between tissue and lesions, visualizes vessel walls, and enhances true color borders in difficult to image areas, according to the company.
