TomoTherapy wins Kansas contract

Radiation therapy firm TomoTherapy of Madison, WI, has won a contract with a Kansas cancer center.

Kansas City Cancer Center has started treating patients with TomoTherapy's Hi-Art treatment system, which integrates image guidance and helical radiation therapy. Hi-Art has been installed in the center's Shawnee Mission location, one of 11 of the center's facilities in the Kansas City area.

In other TomoTherapy news, the company's treatment system will be highlighted in presentations on physics and radiation technology for clinical radiotherapy at the upcoming European Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ESTRO) conference in Maastricht, Netherlands.
