Varian deploys RapidArc in Sweden

Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems of Palo Alto, CA, is expanding the market reach of its RapidArc image-guided intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) system into Sweden.

Karolinska Hospital in Stockholm will become the first facility in that country to offer RapidArc treatments.

Varian has delivered three RapidArc systems and four replacement Clinac linear accelerators to Karolinska.
