Hologic gets FDA nod for FRAX

Women's imaging firm Hologic has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance to incorporate the World Health Organization's (WHO) 10-year fracture risk calculator (FRAX) into its bone densitometry systems.

FRAX will be incorporated into the Bedford, MA-based firm's Discovery and Explorer bone densitometers.
