MR accessories firm Invivo of Orlando, FL, a subsidiary of MRI components provider Intermagnetics General, has been awarded a $500,000 grant by the U.S. Department of Defense.

The grant is to develop an integrated hardware and software system that will enable high-resolution MRI of traumatic brain injuries in an effort to promote more effective diagnosis and treatment in difficult cases, the company said.
