Lantheus taps new VP

Lantheus Medical Imaging of North Billerica, MA, has appointed a new vice president.

Dr. Dana Washburn has been named to a newly created position of vice president of clinical development and medical affairs. Most recently, Washburn served as vice president of clinical trials and safety at Boston Scientific, according to Lantheus.

Washburn will be responsible for developing the clinical investigation of Lantheus' diagnostic imaging agents and providing ongoing medical and safety support for the company's existing portfolio, including Definity, Ablavar, Cardiolite, and TechneLite, Lantheus said. He will perform clinical trial oversight and will lead the company's medical affairs department.
