MDS Nordion opens European TheraSphere centers

Radioisotope developer MDS Nordion of Kanata, Ontario, said it has established four centers of excellence in Europe for its liver cancer treatment product, TheraSphere.

The facilities, where the company will educate healthcare professionals on the use of the treatment system, are the BCLC Group Hospital Clinic in Barcelona, Spain; the Centre Eugene Marquis in Rennes, France; the University-Hospital Essen in Germany; and the University of Pisa in Italy.
