IsoRay adds cesium-131 sites

Medical isotope developer IsoRay Medical has increased the number of sites either producing or getting ready to produce cesium-131.

Over the last two quarters, the number of medical centers, hospitals, and clinics in the company's site-licensing pipeline has climbed from 45 to 91 sites, according to the Richland, WA-based firm. In addition, revenue-producing sites have grown from 17 to 29.

Sites in the process of amending their licenses grew from six to 12, while sites in late-stage discussions to adopt cesium-131 have grown from 22 to 50, IsoRay said.
