Varian completes India installation

Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems of Palo Alto, CA, has installed its RapidArc radiotherapy system at Yashoda Cancer Institute in Hyderabad, India.

The system is being used to treat cancers of the head and neck as well as the cervix. The facility plans to expand its use for treatment of other cancers. Yashoda Cancer Institute treats approximately 9,000 patients annually.
