iCAD wins government contract

Computer-aided detection (CAD) firm iCAD of Nashua, NH, has signed an agreement with the U.S. Defense Supply Center to provide Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense hospitals with its CAD software for mammography technology.

The agreement covers more than 400 federal medical treatment facilities around the world, according to iCAD.

The recent influx of women into the military has resulted in the formation of the Women's Comprehensive Healthcare Implementation Plan (W-CHIP), which has the goal of providing comprehensive primary healthcare for every female veteran, iCAD said.
