Visage to debut new software at RSNA

Advanced visualization firm Visage Imaging will debut its Visage 7 imaging IT platform at the 2009 RSNA meeting in Chicago.

Visage 7 features Universal Viewer, which provides one application for reading, processing, or reviewing imaging exams, according to the Andover, MA-based vendor.

It can act as a thin-client layer on top of an existing RIS/PACS infrastructure, or as a turnkey package based on Visage 7's modular and integrated components. Visage 7 combines and extends clinical toolsets from previous versions of the firm's Visage PACS and Visage CS offerings, including applications such as mammography, oncology, neuroradiology, and cardiology, Visage said.

It also includes customizable display protocols, facilitating viewing of 2D, 3D, and 4D images, thin and thick image slices, and other advanced visualization techniques, Visage said. Other features include thin-client image streaming and a virtual worklist.
