VisEn debuts molecular agent, FMT systems

Optical imaging developer VisEn Medical has launched its ReninSense680 Fluorescent Activatable Sensor Technology (FAST) imaging agent, as well as two new additions to its fluorescence molecular tomography portfolio.

ReninSense680 FAST is designed to measure and monitor a hypertension and renal disease biomarker in vivo, according to the Bedford, MA-based vendor.

In other VisEn news, the company has introduced its FMT 1500 and FMT 2500 LX fluorescence molecular tomography systems. Designed for pharmaceutical companies and small to mid-sized research laboratories, FMT 1500 provides quantitative tomography in two fluorescence imaging channels, VisEn said.

FMT 2500 LX is a an advanced version of the company's FMT 2500 system, offering four imaging channels, a series of multimodality adaptors for integrated multimodality imaging, the company's TrueQuant image analysis suite, and a new reconstruction module for faster imaging times and expanded whole-body imaging applications, according to the firm.
