Canon expands DR line

Digital radiography (DR) vendor Canon Medical Systems of Irvine, CA, has expanded its line of DR systems, the company reported.

Canon's CXDI-60G portable flat-panel detector succeeds the company's CXDI-31 detector and offers a more ergonomic and portable form, the company said. It has low power consumption and a detachable sensor cable, which allows for room-to-room installation from multiple locations such as a patient's bedside or wheelchair, trauma, or an intensive care unit.

The device weighs 5.9 lb, measures less than an inch thick, and images an area of 9 x 11 inches, Canon said.
