Accuray notches CyberKnife treatment milestone

Radiotherapy device developer Accuray of Sunnyvale, CA, said that its CyberKnife robotic radiosurgery system has been used to treat more than 2,000 lung cancer patients worldwide.

In related news, the firm also reported that the first patient has been treated using its recently introduced Xsight lung-tracking system, an application that works with the CyberKnife device to track and treat some lung tumors noninvasively.
