Plantation, FL-based Imaging Diagnostic Systems (IDSI) will highlight its noninvasive, nonradiating adjunct mammography device, Computed Tomography Laser Mammography (CTLM).

2005 11 04 16 31 43 706The device uses laser technology and proprietary algorithms to create 3D cross-sectional images of the breast. The device does not require compression of the breast, and scan time is 12 minutes per breast. CTLM can be used to detect neovascularization, allowing users to differentiate between benign and malignant lesions and minimizing the need for surgical biopsy.

CTLM is pending approval in the U.S., but has received Chinese State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) marketing approval in China.
