One ultrasound topic that may be in short supply at RSNA, though, is the use of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) for COVID-19 imaging. While the ultrasound community has no doubt been affected by the pandemic, many radiology researchers have focused their COVID-19 efforts on CT. As a result, much of the pulmonary ultrasound research has come from nontraditional ultrasound users, including emergency physicians.
