IES-Patient Comfort System of Hayward, CA, will roll out a line of mattress pads, knee wedges, and positioners designed to enhance advanced imaging scans while boosting patient comfort.

2006 10 31 15 16 42 706The pads were developed in conjunction with Tempur-Pedic Medical of Lexington, KY, and feature the company's Tempur material. They can be used to replace a scanner's original pads, which can become worn out and lose their comfort over time, according to the company.

IES-Patient Comfort System will present research during the RSNA show indicating that helping patients lie comfortably during scans can reduce motion artifacts.
