Swyer-James Syndrome:

The patient is an active duty ranger who was having difficulty keeping up during runs.

The CXR demonstrates hyperlucency to the right hemithorax in comparison to the left side.

A CT scan reveals a decreased number and caliber of vessels within the right lung. The right lung is also more hyperlucent when compared to the left side. (Click on image to see larger view)
