Advanced visualization software developer Vital Images plans to launch a new software application, Vitrea Data Stream, as well as the latest release of Vitrea Enterprise Viewer, at RSNA 2016.

Vitrea Data Stream is designed to improve image presentation and provide a single access point for images in electronic medical records across multiple PACS networks, the company said. The software can also convert DICOM files to the DICOMweb format and hasten the upload and display of images on Vitrea Enterprise Viewer.

Healthcare providers will also no longer need to wait for an entire imaging study to transfer before viewing images, thus avoiding data migration, Vital said.
