Samsung highlights ultrasound, DR at ECR

Samsung Electronics is highlighting its ultrasound and digital radiography (DR) devices at ECR 2018.

The company's RS85 ultrasound system features its MV-Flow technology, which detects microvascular blood flow; S-Shearwave imaging, which quantifies tissue elasticity; and S-Fusion, which allows users to compare images from other modalities such as MRI and CT. Samsung's HS70A with Prime ultrasound system features tools such as Arterial Analysis, S-Shearwave, and Realistic Vue.

On the DR side, the company is showcasing its GC85A device, which includes S-Detector and S-Align tools, as well as low-dose technology via Samsung's imaging platform, S-Vue 3.02. The company is also highlighting a lighter version of its GM85 unit.

As for CT and MRI, Samsung subsidiary NeuroLogica is highlighting its OmniTom mobile CT unit, designed for noncontrast, angiography, and perfusion CT scans, and the company is also presenting a prototype of an extremity MRI device, it said.
