Minn. law outlaws exam cheating

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty on April 1 signed into law a bill that makes cheating on licensing or certification exams illegal, according to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) of St. Paul, MN.

The law covers several forms of cheating, including using professional exam takers, obtaining questions and answers from previous exams, removing exam materials from the examination room, or disclosing any part of the exam.

Because ARRT is based in Minnesota, anyone signing an agreement of candidates for certification or an application for renewal of registration or reinstatement of registration will be bound by the new statute, the organization said.
