Scantek sells portion of Brazilian subsidiary

Scantek Medical announced the sale of 36% of its Brazilian subsidiary, Scantek Medical do Brasil, to a Brazilian investment group for $2 million.

Denville, NJ-based Scantek said the new investment will play a major role in the Brazilian launch of its BreastCare early detection product, which measures the metabolic activity associated with breast disease. The proceeds will be used for several purposes, including construction of a new manufacturing facility and expansion of the Brazilian subsidiary’s operations, marketing, and sales, according to Scantek.
