Hologic launches campaign to promote breast screening

August 3, 2020 -- Hologic has launched a "Back to Screening" campaign to promote the importance of breast cancer screening during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company's BacktoScreening.com website allows women to sign up for an email reminder to schedule their annual mammogram on a specific date. Those who sign up by September 20 will have the opportunity to win tickets to a private, virtual concert from Grammy Award-winner Sheryl Crow, who is also a spokesperson for the Hologic Genius 3D mammography system.

Hologic created the event in response to a company survey that found 27% of compliant women plan to skip or delay their 2020 mammogram. The Hologic survey results line up with other new research showing mammography screening dropped by double-digits in spring of this year.
