The two companies had initially agreed to add DiA's LVivo Toolbox to Konica Minolta's Exa Cardio PACS in a partnership announced in July 2019. With the new capabilities, Exa users can perform automated quantitative analysis of the left ventricle to detect cardiac dysfunction in COVID-19 cases.
When used with Konica Minolta's zero-footprint Exa Universal Viewer and reporting system, the LVivo EF software can be utilized on any workstation to monitor the global heart function of patients with COVID-19, according to the vendors.
In other developments, Konica Minolta and DiA noted that Exa users can now perform myocardial strain imaging using DiA's LVivo Strain application and submit for reimbursement.
