RaySearch gets FDA OK for RayStation upgrade

July 11, 2019 -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared an upgraded version of radiation therapy software developer RaySearch's RayStation treatment planning system, which includes machine-learning capabilities.

RayStation 8B's machine-learning applications are for automated treatment planning and organ segmentation. They were developed in collaboration with Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto, the company said.
