By AuntMinnie.com staff writers

November 20, 2013 -- Agfa HealthCare has been awarded a contract for its RIS and PACS software in Saudi Arabia.

Agfa received a contract to upgrade existing RIS/PACS in seven hospitals of the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Gassim, Saudi Arabia.

The project will replace legacy, third-party RIS installations with Agfa's Impax RIS, and will upgrade the existing Impax PACS installation with new, advanced clinical applications.

MOH's seven facilities perform approximately 500,000 radiology exams per year.
