November 15, 2012 -- RIS/PACS firm Brit Systems has received a contract from the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency for an enterprise imaging archive for five regional Army PACS and 23 Navy PACS installations located throughout the world.

The nine-year contract, worth an estimated $40 million, includes products and services from Brit and its partners, including Dell Computer Systems and image management technology developer Acuo Technologies.

Under the contract, Brit Systems will provide contract and project management, while Dell will furnish hardware. Acuo will provide its Universal Clinical Platform (UCP) virtual network archive software, HL7 interfaces, and migration services for more than 25 million studies.
