Carestream Health of Rochester, NY, has rolled out its new tabletop Carestream DirectView Vita computed radiography (CR) system.
The compact, 79-lb system is designed for independent imaging centers, clinics, and multiphysician offices, as well as chiropractic and veterinary facilities.
The system supports eight cassette sizes, including 14 x 33-inch cassettes for long-length exams. It also offers a short-term archive, DICOM transmission to PACS, and DICOM and Windows printing to a variety of output devices.
Beginning in November, the Vita CR system can be bundled with Carestream's optional Image Suite software to create a miniPACS network that features digital image capture, viewing, printing, storage, and management.
