Tracheal Agenesis/Atresia:

Clinical:

The lesion is rare and invariably fatal due to abnormal separation of foregut into trachea and esophagus. Symptoms include polyhydramnios, an inaudible cry, and cyanosis. Other VATER anomalies are commonly associated. The lungs may initially expand via communication with esophagus, then atelectasis and collapse occurs.
