Brit Systems

Brit will highlight its Brit Vision multimodality mammography workstation line, as well as new PACS-native 3D tools.

Brit Vision can be used with any U.S. Food and Drug Administration-cleared full-field digital mammography (FFDM) system, or with digitized film from a film-screen system, according to the Dallas-based firm. The workstation offers mammography-specific reading tools, including support for computer-aided detection (CAD) overlays, overreading tools with statistics, hot keys, icons, and animated hanging protocols, Brit said.

Color images, such as ultrasound studies, can be viewed using Brit's standard two-portrait grayscale monitor/one landscape color monitor configuration.

In other PACS news, Brit has incorporated a new set of 3D tools into its Roentgen Files PACS offering, including improved and more powerful multiplanar reformatting (MPR), maximum intensity projection (MIP), and volume rendering, Brit said. All basic 3D imaging tools are now native applications on all Brit Vision workstations.

As a result, any Brit Vision workstation throughout a facility or enterprise can now provide 3D rendering tools. Brit said it would also continue to support other third-party 3D reconstruction and image analysis products.
