Cedara adds text reporting to cardiology line

Canadian PACS and IS developer Cedara Software has added a structured reporting component to its cardiology offerings. The product enables text reports from cardiology catheterization labs to be linked with images, making integrated electronic patient records possible.

According to company representatives, the component supports the American College of Cardiology's structured reporting initiative, which will help define the cardiology industry’s DICOM standard.
