Marconi Medical Systems has announced the availability of E*Nable Services for Healthcare, a new broadband network service. The new service is designed to allow customers to implement broadband networks in support of telemedicine, PACS, and other voice, video, and data communications within a single facility, across multiple facilities in the same group, or across multihospital systems.
E*Nable for Healthcare will involve project management, integration and installation services; on-site and Web-based network support; Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance testing; and business and market assessments, according to Marconi. The firm expects that clients for the customizable service will include stand-alone facilities, multihospital groups and HMOs, and Marconi channel partners and system integrators.
In concert with the launch, Marconi announced that group purchasing organization AmeriNet of St. Louis has signed a two-year agreement to promote Marconi’s Intelligent Broadband Networking services. As a result, AmeriNet facilities will be among the first to implement E*Nable for healthcare services, according to Marconi.
