HIMSS requests proposals for 2011 meeting

The Healthcare Information and Management System Society (HIMSS) is requesting submission of proposals for educational presentations at its 2011 annual meeting.

At HIMSS' 2010 conference and exhibition, although approximately 200 vendors with imaging informatics products exhibited, only three educational presentations about imaging informatics were made. HIMSS attributed this to a lack of proposal submissions.

The deadline for proposal submission is May 24, 2010. HIMSS will give preference to abstracts that demonstrate the adoption of healthcare IT in support of the roadmap toward meaningful use, according to a press release issued by the Chicago-based society.
