Grundig shows digital dictation devices at RSNA 2007

German dictation technology provider Grundig Business Systems is showcasing its line of digital dictation devices at this week's RSNA 2007 meeting in Chicago.

DigtaSonic x420 is a mobile digital dictation recorder for radiology reporting. Incorporating ergonomic design principles, this device supports the DSSPro voice standard, and offers enhanced security through encrypted voice files. It also features one-handed intuitive operation and a color display that shows all functions as symbols.

The DigtaSonic xMic digital dictation microphone is designed for added comfort during longer dictation sessions. The ergonomically designed device includes trackpoint control with mouse buttons and also supports the new DSSPro standard.

The Digta CordEx wireless dictation microphone includes a docking station that connects to a PC through a USB port, and users can move within a 20- to 25-ft radius. Warning functions are activated if the user moves out of range, while the dictation is saved simultaneously in temporary memory for voice data, according to the Bayreuth, Germany-based firm.
