Offshore medical transcription firm Spryance of Boston has acquired Toledo, OH-based Heartland Information Services from HCR ManorCare.
Spryance provides transcription services to more than 175 hospitals and clinics in the U.S., and has more than 1,200 medical transcriptionists at its facilities in India. The acquisition of Heartland, which also has centers in India, means the new firm will have more than 2,500 medical transcriptionists providing service to more than 200 hospital and clinical customers.
The new combined company will be marketed under the Heartland Information Services brand.
