U.K. AI imaging firm Brainomix has entered a partnership with Chicago, IL-based patient advocacy group the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation to explore how AI-powered imaging can support people living with fibrotic interstitial lung diseases.

Drawing on the organization's patient community, the expanded study will examine the following, according to the company:

  • What patients with pulmonary fibrosis want to know about their disease.

  • How patients respond to Brainomix 360 e-Lung's visual and quantitative outputs.

  • How imaging-derived insights could support patient-clinician discussions about starting, continuing, or changing treatment.

The work extends Brainomix’s research collaboration with Boehringer Ingelheim, which began in 2024 to assess e-Lung’s clinical value in fibrotic interstitial lung diseases. e-Lung is cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as well as CE-marked. It automatically quantifies and visualizes radiographic features on lung CT scans.
