Twelve U.S. health systems have formed the Diagnostic AI Consortium with Aidoc to advance diagnostic AI governance, evaluation, and implementation across imaging and other diagnostic workflows.
Members include the following: Advocate Health, Cedars-Sinai Health System, Hartford Healthcare, Houston Methodist, Mercy, Mount Sinai Health System, Northwell Health, Northwestern Medicine, Sutter Health, University of Florida Health, University Hospitals of Cleveland, and WellSpan Health. These health systems care for nearly 20 million patients annually.
The consortium will co-design AI-enabled diagnostic workflows, measure their impact on safety, quality, and speed to diagnosis across member sites, and develop shared implementation and governance practices.
Aidoc will provide technical infrastructure through its Clinical AI Reasoning Engine (CARE) foundation model and aiOS enterprise AI operating system. The consortium expects to share initial results in 2027, Aidoc said.
