
Viz.ai and collaborator avicenna.AI are highlighting results from a study of an algorithm in Viz.ai's Aortic platform designed to detect suspected aortic dissection.
In research presented at the 2022 VEITHSymposium in New York City, Viz.ai's aortic dissection algorithm demonstrated a sensitivity of 94.2% and a specificity of 97.3% in 1,303 CT angiography scans collected from patients in more than 200 U.S. cities. The algorithm's positive predictive value was 80.1% and negative predictive value was 99.3%, the company said.
