iCAD posts record Q4

Computer-aided detection (CAD) developer iCAD reported record fourth-quarter sales of $6.3 million, up 294% compared with the $1.6 million turned in a year ago. For the period (end-December 31), the Nashua, NH-based firm had net income of $659,000, compared with a net loss of $1.6 million in the fourth quarter of 2003.

For the year, iCAD had sales of $23.3 million, up 258% compared with the $6.5 million posted in 2003. The company had a fiscal-year net loss of $828,000, compared with a net loss of $8.2 million in 2003.

President and CEO Scott Parr cited the introduction of its Second Look 200 platform and its ClickCAD fee-for-procedure program as key company successes in 2004.
