Siemens, HipGraphics extend 3D partnership

Siemens Medical Solutions and 3D imaging software developer HipGraphics of Baltimore have signed an exclusive agreement to further develop the firms' syngo InSpace 3D medical imaging software.

The companies have been cooperating on 3D diagnostic imaging applications since 1992, and will continue to advance the capabilities of the software, according to Siemens of Malvern, PA. Designed to provide real-time 3D processing of large-volume datasets, syngo InSpace has been installed on more than 1,000 systems since its introduction in 2002, Siemens said.
