GE, Deus to partner in lung CAD

GE Medical Systems of Waukesha, WI, and Deus Technologies of Rockville, MD, have entered into a strategic partnership to develop a computer-aided detection (CAD) product for lung cancer for use on GE’s suite of digital radiography x-ray systems. As part of the agreement, GE will have exclusive distribution rights to the new digital CAD product.

Deus’ RapidScreen RS-2000 is designed for use with digitized x-rays and is currently the only CAD product for lung cancer detection to receive premarket approval from the Food and Drug Administration.
