PACS provides push for paperless

BOSTON - The cost justification of PACS focuses on both "hard" savings, like film costs, and "soft "savings, like workflow improvements. Eliminating the use of paper entirely can confer additional efficiencies on a radiology department’s workflow, according to a presentation at this week's Symposium for Computer Applications in Radiology.

No size, grade correlation seen in enhancement of colorectal cancer

Researchers from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston found that enhancement of colorectal masses in virtual colonoscopy correlated poorly with the degree of differentiation, although grade 1 adenomas did enhance less than lesions grade 2 and higher.
