Expanded role looms for 3D in breast imaging

The increasing utilization of cross-sectional modalities and digital mammography will drive breast imaging practices to switch to soft-copy reading within the next five years, according to Dr. Mitchell Schnall from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
